Online Ore: Mint

Apr 5, 2010 by Aaron Rubman

This week’s vein of online ore can be found at www.mint.com

Mint.com is a free online accounting site that you can use to track your bank accounts, debit obligations, and investments; plan budgets; set goals; and receive alerts when there is suspicious or off-plan activity on your accounts.

Once you give Mint permission to monitor an account it will update your records automatically every time a change is made to the account, giving you real time graphs and charts showing you where your money is coming from and going to, and how close you are to meeting your budget objectives.

Michelle Berger of Done By 5 tells us,

“My favorite part about it is the budgeting feature it has.  It allows me to put specific amounts for the different categories, and if I’m getting close to reaching that monthly budget amount or gone over, Mint will send me an alert.”

Tell us what you think of Mint.Com!

Online Ore is an ongoing feature at The Gold Mine featuring tools and resources from around the web and wider world.  If you know a site we should prospect please e-mail Aaron Rubman at Marissa Berger Interactive.
