Flash/Multimedia project checklist

At MB/I we have a questionnaire we ask our clients to fill out for Flash/multimedia projects. It helps to plan and to collect all of the information needed to put together a proposal. here are are questions we ask.

Part 1: Business Background

  1. Describe your company and the industry/market it belongs to
  2. List the products and/or services you provide
  3. Describe your key customers
  4. List your key competitors’ URLs
  5. How is your company different from the competition?

Part 2: Project Goals

  1. What is the basic goal/purpose for this project?
  2. What outcome will make this project successful?
  3. Who is the primary audience for this project?
  4. What are your schedule requirements for this project? Timeline? Deadline?
  5. Have you already developed similar projects?
    If yes, how does this project need to be different?

Part 3: Specifications

  1. Delivery method. Check as many as apply.
    • Web/internet download
    • CD-ROM
    • Flash drive/memory stick
    • Hard drive
  2. Duration_____ minutes (plan for 100-150 words per minute)
  3. Types of content. Check as many as apply.
    • Script/Keyword text
    • Voice over narration
    • Static images

Part 5: Looking Ahead

  1. What is the shelf life intended for this project?
  2. Is this project phase 1 of several future versions?
  3. When would you like to start planning the next phase?
